Five rig inspections across Nigeria and the United States assessed equipment condition, well control, reliability and suitability for planned operations.
- Jewel Quest: 3,000 HP swamp barge, New Iberia, Louisiana
- Acme Rig 7: 2,000 HP land rig, Conroe, Texas
- Melcurt Rig 1: 1,500 HP land rig, Okpaka, Delta State; selected for Emohua-1 re-entry
- MF101 (Matpatson): 2,000 HP land rig, Port Harcourt; selected for Emohua-2 and sidetrack
- Acme Rig 5: 2,000 HP land rig, Maiduguri
Two inspected rigs were selected for the field drilling campaign. Inspection work focused on critical-system fitness, failure risks and alignment with well objectives.
